Getting started
Smart Movers Club researches any city or state in America for investors, relocators and companies.
In three steps
- Type a city or state in the search bar (or right-click the map)
- Open the briefing and move through the tabs
- Save it, compare it in Relocate, or contact local pros in Resources

City briefings
Every search opens a briefing with a photo banner, the Smart Movers Grade & Verdict, and tabs.
Tabs
- Overview — median home price, crime trend, anchor industry, education rank, median income, cost of living, unemployment
- Housing — current market read with links to source articles
- Migration — who's moving in and out, top states, and why
- Videos — town halls, mayors, jobs and real estate posted in the last 30 days
- News — latest local stories with full summaries in a popup
- Full analysis & money moves — the deep report with investments from the past 12 months
Freshness
- City reports are saved for 30 days, then rebuilt automatically
- Opening a saved city is instant and free
Map layers
The map remembers what you had open, even after you visit other pages.
Layers
- Crime — official FBI violent + property totals, ranked out of 50, by state or county
- Education — school districts for the state you're viewing
- Political — 2024 vote results, officials, elections and ballot measures
- Migration — Census state-to-state flows
- Drive Around — street-level videos that keep playing on any page

- Right-click any state or county for a snapshot
- Switch Dark, Streets, Light, Terrain or Satellite in the top-right

How it works
- Add up to 25 cities from the Watchlist page in the side menu
- Each month you see what changed: home prices, rent, crime, jobs, population, taxes
- New developments and major employers coming or leaving are flagged
- Compare every place you watch side by side

- Monthly email digest in the first days of each month — turn it on or off on the Watchlist page
- Browser alerts when a new monthly update is ready while the app is open

- My Reports lists every report and clip in a scrolling list — delete any you don't need

Sign in from the Sign in button on any page.

- Create an account with email, or use the Google icon
- Reset your password from the sign-in page
- Change theme, clear search data or delete your account in Settings

Pick a monthly or annual plan, or a one-time pass.

- Free Trial — $0 for 3 days
- Move Pass — $39 one-time for 30 days, built only for your own move (housing, cost of living, safety, comparisons, moving help). Investor tools and economic intelligence are not included
- Pro — $49/month or $529/year: economic intelligence, unlimited reports, investor tools and priority support
- Enterprise — starts at $1,500/month: API access, team seats, branded reports and custom data. Fill out the Enterprise form on the Pricing page and book a call
- Annual billing on Pro saves about 10%
Billing
- Checkout opens on a secure payment page
- Plans bill on your signup date, monthly or yearly
- Upgrades apply right away; downgrades at the next cycle
- Change or cancel anytime from Manage Plan in your account menu — access stays until the period ends
- No refunds — subscriptions and passes are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime
Fair use
- To keep things fast for everyone, there's a limit on how many brand-new city reports you can run per hour and per day; opening saved cities never counts
